Radio bayern 1 is one of the top stations in Bavaria and, together with Bayern 2, it's also a popular part of the countrywide digital signal BR Plus. It is also available online and via mobile phone apps.
Almost all of the station's content is in German and it focuses on sport, culture, news and current affairs. It also has several special features, including BR24live (with live broadcasts of political debates, cultural and sporting events), BR Verkehr (with 24/7 traffic updates) and BR-KLASSIK (classical music, jazz, operetta and pop).
The icing on the cake is that the station also boasts a good selection of chart-topping music. In fact, the station was launched with an impressively sized playlist.
