Who has experience selling books online?

I’ve been decluttering my shelves and noticed I’ve got some books that are just collecting dust—mostly old textbooks and novels I won’t read again. I’m looking for the most efficient way to sell them online. I’ve heard some platforms offer prepaid shipping and quick payouts. But how do I know if my books are in good enough condition to sell? Also, is there a way to check the current market value of my books before committing to sell them? Any tips would be great!

Selling your books online is definitely easier if you use a site that handles most of the work for you. A service like https://booksrun.com/books/sell allows you to look up the value of your books by entering their ISBNs, which is super convenient. They even provide prepaid shipping labels if your total is over $10, so you don’t need to worry about shipping costs. From what I’ve seen, they process payments quickly, either through PayPal or check. One tip: make sure to accurately assess the condition of your books before listing them—it affects the payout. They tend to prefer clean, gently used books without water damage or excessive notes. If you’ve got textbooks or newer editions, you’ll likely get better offers. I’d recommend checking the ISBNs of your books and seeing what they’re worth. Are your books mostly textbooks or novels?

Thanks for the advice! I tried entering some ISBNs on the site, and it was really straightforward. I didn’t realize condition mattered so much, so I’ll double-check my books before sending them. Most of what I’m selling are textbooks, so I’m glad to hear they usually get better offers. I’ll give it a shot and see how it goes. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
