Why PS4 Won’t play so many video fiels ? what can i do then?
“I recently ripped some DVDs with MakeMKV, transferred them onto a USB stick and tried to play them on my PS4, but they wouldn’t play.
Also, I fused another DVD rip (.VOB files) with an editing program and converted it to MP4, but that wouldn’t play on my PS4 either. And when I played an AVI file recently, the video was messed up, even though it worked properly before.
There doesn’t seem to be any reason or rhyme as to what the PS4 will and won’t play. None of the files were in H.265 format, so they should have been able to play. Thanks in advance for any advice.”
Best Answer:
If you really want to watch all these files on PS4, you have to convert AVI/HEVC/VOB to PS4 compatible video formats first.
To finish the task, Here I recommend Brorsoft Video Converter Ultimate, which can allow you fast change VOB/AVI/H.265 video to a fully compatible format with PS4 while keeping the original quality. Plus, it also supports encoding any other media files like MTS, AVI, FLV, WMV, MPG as well as DVD and Blu-ray.
By running it, there is no need to set the codec yourself, the program has the optimized preset for PS4. It has an equivalent Mac version entitled Brorsoft iMedia Converter for Mac.
